Robert May

Robert May is a founding attorney of The May Firm, the California personal injury practice he built alongside his brothers Garrett May and Cameron May. The firm started in San Luis Obispo and has grown to nine offices across California. The May Firm represents accident victims only — never insurance companies — and has recovered more than $250 million in verdicts and settlements for injured clients.

Robert's approach is personal. As a teenager he was the victim of a serious personal injury and had to navigate the claims process as a plaintiff without knowing what he was entitled to — an experience that shaped his decision to attend California Western School of Law and build a firm where every client is treated like family. Robert handles cases from early investigation through negotiation and, when needed, trial, and is known for relentlessly pursuing the best outcome for each client rather than the fastest settlement.
